To be more precise – a work table. I cannot and will not be writing or editing sitting on the sofa anymore, or let’s say till the day I find a perfect work table. Unfortunately, that can take me quite some time.
At first myself and significant other thought there is no need to have a separate workspace since we both have office jobs and usually do not bring work home. However, few months after moving in, the idea of having a place to sit down and get some writing or editing done, started to sound more attractive than ever before.
I tend to do most of my writing and editing on the early weekend mornings. But from time to time I spend evenings doing mind mapping or conducting researches on topics I want to speak about later. On occasions like this, work table seems to be as important as a cup of coffee and a laptop – which are an inseparable part of my working routine.
For some strange reason, I do not feel like buying the table. Instead, I am secretly nurturing the idea of DIY’ing it. Perhaps, due to pure nostalgy to previous DIY project (renewing old table) which turned out to be a great success as a past time, this idea is not leaving my mind for quite some time now. And why would it? I will make my own work table, I decided.
As I have mentioned before, I usually know what I want, I know it so well I could narrow it to smallest details. And as I am drowning in Pinterest world of ideas, my perfect work table is slowly coming together in my head.
So, here I am dreaming about a table, preferably in from of the window, with neatly organized pens, a notebook and some greenery. Oh, my perfect minimal workspace. How little does one need…
