As we are coming to the coldest season of the year it is an appropriate time to share my winter season wishes. From food to books and clothes, I am taking my notes which hopefully will help me stay positive during wintertime blues.
TASTE IT – hot apple cider
I will not even try hiding my love for mulled wine. Whenever the season comes around I can barely put myself together and pass a Christmas market without getting a cup of it. Surprisingly enough, I have never tried hot apple cider. I am on the mission this winter to try it.
EXPERIENCE IT – decorating a Christmas tree
Of course, I have decorated Christmas tree before, but this year is a little bit different. I have been living alone for the last two years and whenever holiday season was approaching I felt no necessity to decorate the apartment, since I would be spending the winter holidays at parents’. However, since I moved in with significant other couple of months ago, we have came to the decision to have Christmas Eve dinner together at our place. And what Christmas Eve dinner would be complete without a tree! For the fist time I will be decorating my own Christmas tree. Well not exactly mine, more like ours. Oh, the excitement!
READ IT – The Secret History
This is it, I am finally going to read The Secret History by Donna Tartt. For the longest time I have been putting it off for no particular reason. Recently, each this book makes an appearance on the bookstagrams I follow, I cannot help but feel guilty for not reading it.
WEAR IT – pom pom beanie
If anyone knows me at all, they are aware I never wear head accessories. I simply do not like the way they look on me. However, as the weather is getting colder I cannot help but think that having and wearing a beanie would keep me warmer and hide my messy hair on windy days. Pom pom beanies are not at all difficult to find, couple of days ago I have tried on one from Zara.
TRY IT (again)– oil pulling
Oil pulling is Ayurvedic practice that helps with oral detoxification. All you need to do is swish a tablespoon of oil in your mouth for 10-15 minutes. Over a year ago I was oil pulling everyday using coconut oil, but for somewhat reason I stopped. I really want to get back to this habit this season.
